We offer expert advice in modern organisation of functional and aesthetic premises, elaboration of projects by means of a computer simulation of spatial dispositions of equipment and details. In addition to our own products we offer a wide range of other goods for the overall organisation of rooms. With our products are equipped several facilities, offices, commercial premises, hotels and other facilities. What is more, a number of companies and government agencies, both at home and abroad have shown confidence in us.
From 1968 to today
Our business roots date back to 1968 when brothers Iskra undertook joinery activity in a workshop at home. The focus was put on apartment furnishings. Later the production embraced also equipment for bowling alleys.
Soon the workshop became too small. Therefore, Janez Iskra moved his work to a larger space in Zbilje, first to a rented facility, already two years later to newly built own premises. In 1980, the company employed nearly 20 people and as first producing programs of its own furniture design. In addition to the production on order, the company dealt with the design and in 1987 opened its own furniture studio in Ljubljana. In 1995 the company changed to Pohištvo Iskra Ltd., establishing a basis for trade mark Pohištvo Iskra.
In 1997 the production was moved to a new location - full operation on surface of 3000 m2 in Preska near Medvode still used today. The company took advantage of better conditions and was oriented to production of equipment of most demanding ambiance on order. A few years later, production was fully devoted to the manufacture of cutting-edge equipment for banks, casinos and hotels.
Today our company with a 40-year tradition is one of the largest producers of custom made furniture in Slovenia. As until now, we will continue to proceed towards upgrading professional excellence, technological development, improving competitiveness and achieving high quality. In the first place, as always, remains a concern for our client and his satisfaction.

From our beginnings until today a number of changes occurred in timber area. The market has become extremely difficult and demanding and increase in supply was recorded. Our primary task is therefore aimed at raising the quality of work and products, flexibility, competitiveness, innovation and market flexibility.
